Edgewood food bank volunteer. We are not accepting court mandated community service volunteers at this time. The hcaa depends on the help of volunteers in the operation of our food pantry and food bank. We invite you to join us according to your availability. Sometimes it s as much as a whole pallet of food.

Every thursday we set up on our vicente campus where families can pick up supplemental grocery boxes. We need volunteers or we face having to close food bank locations. Coordinating their availability and using their own vehicles volunteers go to pick up the food in the narrow time window before it is discarded. The number of people needing food is at an all time high.

As the world leader in volunteerism we feel a responsibility to unite our broader community and to use this moment to become stronger. The edgewood food bank is a weekly community gathering for individuals and families to receive grocery boxes of fresh fruit vegetables legumes and other foods. We need volunteers throughout the week to assist us with loading unloading donations stocking shelves distributing food and answering the phone. We need volunteers to help pack boxes and distribute food.

We look forward to welcoming back former volunteers and bringing on new volunteers. 10 00 am 12 00 noon every 3rd saturday of the month. During these uncertain times how can we help. The food bank serves as a vibrant hub where youth and families can connect with community members while also gathering healthy food options to support them through the week.
